It refers to those ideas which are tough to be practically implemented and so are usually hypothetical. It is just the opposite of realism. The literature explains a lot of concepts through philosophy and idealism. Idealism for known reasons gives rise to skepticism unless the ideal concept can practically be implemented or explained. The idealism theories are divided into two: subjective idealism and objective idealism.
