Action theory concept and meaning

Action Theory: The theory was proposed by Talcott Parsons who was an American theorist, which stated that it is the theory of social action. It attempts to maintain positivism, which itself is a philosophical theory which states that knowledge is related to natural phenomena. It is a more systemic theory than positivism because Parson felt that an idealistic approach to something would not satisfy the prerequisites and a more practical reason needs to be discovered which explains certain social laws in relation to nature.
